A panel talk is to take place at the EU Parliament in Brussels on 22 May 2023 to commemorate the “21^st May – The Day of Circassian Genocide and Exile”. The Greens/EFA and the Turkey-based Federation of Caucasian Association (KAFFED), the largest umbrella organisation of the Circassian / North Caucasian diaspora community centres in Turkey, are co-organising the event for which Cem Ozdemir of The Alliance 90/Greens, who is of Circassian extraction and currently is the serving Minister of Food and Agriculture of Germany, has also offered his support.

The Director of the Center for Circassian Studies, Dr Zeynel Abidin Besleney, will make a presentation at the panel.
